Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is processed when you visit this website. We process personal data only in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable German data protection law.

1. Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website is Adrianna Kosowska. You can find our full contact details, including postal address and email, in our Legal Notice (Impressum).

2. Hosting

This website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. The servers are located in Germany (European Union). The provider processes connection data on our behalf as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR; a data processing agreement is in place. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and efficient provision of our website (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR).

3. Server Log Files

When you access our website, the server automatically collects information that your browser transmits and stores it in log files: IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, referrer URL, browser type and operating system. This data is required for the technical delivery and security of the website and is not merged with other data. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR.

4. Cookies and Consent

We use cookies and comparable technologies. Technically necessary technologies are used on the basis of Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR and § 25 (2) of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG). All non-essential technologies, in particular analytics and marketing (see below), are only used after you have given your consent via our cookie banner (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR, § 25 (1) TDDDG). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. Details about the individual cookies are available in our cookie banner.

5. Order Data and Lemon Squeezy (Merchant of Record)

Our checkout and payments run on the platform of Lemon Squeezy, operated by Sold through Link, LLC (formerly Lemon Squeezy LLC), 222 South Main Street, Suite 500, Salt Lake City, UT 84101, USA. Lemon Squeezy acts as our Merchant of Record: it provides the checkout, processes payments and handles invoicing and sales tax / VAT as the seller of record.

When you place an order, Lemon Squeezy collects the personal data needed to complete it, such as your name, email address, billing country and payment information. We can access your name, email address and order details in the Lemon Squeezy dashboard and via its API, and we use them to fulfil your order, give you access to your downloads, and provide customer support and order administration. With regard to this customer data, we are the controller and Lemon Squeezy acts as our processor under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Independently, Lemon Squeezy also acts as a controller in its own right for the functions it performs as Merchant of Record, in particular payment processing, fraud prevention and the statutory handling of tax and invoices.

The legal basis for processing your order data is the performance of the contract and pre-contractual measures (Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR) and, for tax and accounting obligations, compliance with a legal obligation (Art. 6 (1)(c) GDPR); fraud prevention is based on legitimate interests (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR).

On our own website we deliberately store no customer personal data: the order record we keep contains only a non-identifying token, the purchased product and the order amounts, which we use solely to show your downloads on the thank-you page. Your personal data itself is held within the Lemon Squeezy platform.

As Lemon Squeezy is based in the USA, your data is transferred there. Under our data processing agreement, such transfers are safeguarded by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. For details of how Lemon Squeezy processes personal data, see the Lemon Squeezy Privacy Policy at lemonsqueezy.com/privacy and its Data Processing Agreement at lemonsqueezy.com/dpa.

6. Google Analytics 4

Subject to your consent, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. It uses cookies and similar technologies to analyse how visitors use our website (e.g. pages visited, duration, approximate location based on a shortened IP address) so we can understand and improve it. Data may be transmitted to and stored by Google LLC in the USA; Google is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR, § 25 (1) TDDDG), which you can withdraw at any time. IP shortening is enabled and we use Google Consent Mode, so no analytics cookies are set before consent.

7. Meta Pixel

Subject to your consent, we use the Meta Pixel, a service of Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland. The Meta Pixel uses cookies to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to record actions you take on our website (e.g. viewing a product or completing a purchase). With regard to the collection and transmission of data via the pixel, we and Meta act as joint controllers (Art. 26 GDPR). Data may be transferred to Meta Platforms, Inc. in the USA, which is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR, § 25 (1) TDDDG), which you can withdraw at any time.

8. Contacting Us by Email

If you contact us by email, the data you provide will be processed to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR where your request relates to a contract, otherwise our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR). We delete this data once it is no longer required and no statutory retention periods apply.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR). Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

10. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our website or legal requirements. The current version always applies.
